The Preliminary Meeting of Institutional External Evaluation was held.
As part of the “Institutional External Evaluation” which will be carried out by the Council of Higher Education, the directors of our university met with the evaluation team at the Baltalimani facilities. Prof. Dr. Üstün Ergüder, the captain of the evaluation team, Prof. Dr. Erdal Emel, Prof. Dr. Sultan Taşçı, Öznur Oğuzoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Yücel Özmen and Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak, the rector of our university, Prof. Dr. Sedat Murat, Prof. Dr. Halis Yunus Ersöz, Prof. Dr. Bayram Mert Savrun, the vice rectors of our university, and Metin Küçük, the general secretary of our university, were attended the meeting.
The directors of Quality, Education and Bologna offices and the director of International Academic Relations Committee were also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak shared the strategic goals which our university plans to achieve with the evaluation team by explaining the past quality journey of Istanbul University in detail. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that external evaluation would be held between 14 and 17 February 2017.
